Head of Economics

Zhamal has extensive experience in Upstream Economics and Valuation both as an Equity Analyst and Petroleum Economist. She has previously worked in GMP Securities and Westhouse Securities in the City of London, as well as in ERCE’s London office. Her key skills include corporate and asset valuation, petroleum economics and fiscal regimes, construction of complex oil and gas valuation models in Excel, financial and strategic analysis, extensive knowledge of Upstream Oil & Gas industry and international E&P space. Zhamal holds an M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and a B.Sc. in Information Systems (Faculty of Mathematics) from Kazakh National University (Degree with Honours).

She has worked on many projects for various clients, from governments and NOCs to listed oil & gas companies and smaller private businesses all over the world. Zhamal has experience delivering economics for Competent Person’s Reports, arbitrations, evaluations for M&A Due Diligence, and advisory on various economics/commercial aspects of oil & gas businesses. At ERCE, Zhamal is responsible for commercial valuation (from technical to fair market valuation) and growing ERCE’s capabilities in all aspects of economics and valuation to allow the offering of a complete integrated service.
