Kitty Hall is an experienced independent non-executive director following an entrepreneurial career in the exploration service sector. She has undertaken non-executive director roles since 2007 including service on remuneration, governance, audit and nomination committees.
As founding CEO she ran two upstream oil service companies over a period of 25 years, one (ARK Geophysics Ltd) owner managed and the other (ARKeX Ltd) private equity backed. These companies acquired, processed and interpreted specialist geophysical data around the globe, and a portfolio of innovative software and hardware was developed. Board experience includes listed seismic, drilling and oil companies Polarcus, Seabird Exploration, Eastern Echo, Sevan Drilling and Aker BP (formerly Det Norske).
Kitty has a BSc in Geology from Leeds University and an MSc in Stratigraphy from Birkbeck College. She has twice served as Vice President of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain and was made an Honorary Member in 2012. She was the first female Chair of the Petroleum Group of the Geological Society, and was awarded the Petroleum Group Medal in 2019. She has held private forestry interests since 2008 and serves as a trustee for several charities.
