ERCE to Attend 3rd EAGE Conference on Carbon Capture and Storage Potential in Perth, Australia

ERCE is pleased to announce that Kathe Trigg, our Principal Geoscientist, will be attending the 3rd EAGE Conference on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Potential, taking place from August 12 to 13, 2024, in Perth, Australia. This event will focus on the critical role of CCS in addressing the world’s energy challenges and will bring together experts from various sectors to share knowledge and insights.

As an industry-leading consultancy with extensive experience in the CCS sector, ERCE offers a comprehensive range of decarbonization services, including Independent Risk Assessment, SMRS Independent Storage Capacity Assessment, Technical and Commercial Studies, Concept Select Studies, Policy and Regulatory Studies, and Emitter and CO2 Resource Studies. Our expertise spans the entire value chain, from negotiating emitter clusters to evaluating infrastructure reuse and developing detailed geological models of the subsurface.

CCS is not a new concept, but it presents specific challenges, especially for those new to the industry. The conference aims to promote knowledge sharing on the latest capture advances, subsurface workflows for CCS evaluation, and the application of mainstream CCS technologies, particularly in the Southeast Asia region. It will feature technical presentations, panel discussions, and valuable insights from policymakers, activists, financial professionals, and strategists.

We encourage anyone interested in ERCE’s capabilities in CCS to reach out to Kathe Trigg during the conference in Perth to discuss how our expertise can support your projects. For more information and to connect with industry professionals, be sure to attend this pivotal event.

Kathe has more than 25 years’ experience in oil, gas and CCS, gained while working for major & minor operators and service companies across the globe.

She has extensive experience in integrated field development and management, focusing on reservoir characterisation, static modelling, in-place volume assessment, uncertainty assessment, risk assessment, field development planning and well planning / execution, including complex geosteering. These skills have been applied to a range of oil, gas, natural hydrogen / helium and CCS fields and opportunities, across all maturity phases and all field sizes.

Whilst being an expert in static modelling, Kathe has well-developed complimentary skills in petrophysics, geophysics, reservoir engineering and drilling & completions, and has taught both software and theory courses to hundreds of oil and gas professionals across the Asia Pacific area.

Over the years Kathe has had the opportunity to work across most areas of the energy industry, including Technical Subsurface studies, Mergers and Acquisitions, Fair Market Value Analysis, Red Flag Reviews, Unitisation, Reserves and Resources (under PRMS & SRMS), Expert Practice and Carbon Capture and Storage.
