Mike Cuthbertson

Mike has 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry having joined ERCE in 2013. He has worked as both a geoscientist and reservoir engineer on a variety of oil and gas audits, M&A due diligence, technical studies and expert witness projects. In 2016, Mike relocated to Singapore to help set up ERCE’s Asia Pacific office and gained valuable international experience working with IOCs and NOCs in locations across the region including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, China, Australia and New Zealand. Mike returned to the UK at the end of 2020 and became ERCE’s Head of Engineering in July 2023.

Mike builds strong client relationships and has experience leading large oil and gas audits including Jadestone Energy, Interra Resources and TAG Oil amongst others. He has a strong working knowledge of oil and gas guidelines (PRMS, COGEH) and stock market regulations (LSE AIM, TSX, ASX, SGX).

Mike’s integrated skillset is his strongest asset and allows him to be an efficient project manager. He has experience in static and dynamic modelling in complex fields where integration of multiple datasets are crucial to understanding field performance.
