North African, matrix producing limestone oil field required static model for volumetric assessment and use in future dynamic simulation
North African, matrix producing limestone oil field required static model for volumetric assessment and use in future dynamic simulation.
Client had small in-house technical team and required petrophysical analysis and static modelling expertise in order to construct a useful model for future infill well placement.
ERCE’s in-house petrophysicists carried out and standardised an evaluation of all the wells on the producing field. ERCE constructed a static geological model in Schlumberger’s Petrel software incorporating this petrophysical analysis.
Our geoscientists worked with our engineers to make sure the model would be suitable for use in future dynamic simulation scenarios in various reservoir engineering software. We also worked closely with the client’s team to incorporate their in-depth knowledge and experience of the field and regional production from the reservoirs of interest.
A final static model and associated build report were provided to our client as final deliverables.
ERCE has extensive experience in static modelling. Our geoscientists use statistical methodologies combined with solid geological understanding to build models that are fit for our clients needs. Our multidisciplinary teams work in harmony to ensure static models can be used in future simulation studies where required. We value regular and continued communication with our clients throughout modelling projects in order to fully integrate data with existing knowledge.
